1. Warranty Coverage
Warranty periods and coverage vary depending on the brand and type of product purchased. Below are general guidelines:
✅ New & Used Outboard Motors
✔️ Standard warranty coverage ranges from 1 to 5 years for new outboard & 1-2 years for used outboard motors, depending on the manufacturer and model.
✔️ Some brands offer extended warranties for specific components (e.g., power unit, lower unit, ignition system).
✔️ Commercial use may have a shorter warranty period compared to pleasure use.

Used Performance Engines: 30 Days
Used Replacement Engines: 30 Days
Used Replacement Transmissions: 30 Days
Used Performance Transmissions: 30 days
Mechanical and Electric Parts: No Warranty
ECU: 30 days
Advance deposits made on engines, transmissions and parts will put the Item on HOLD for 15 Days, within which the buyer is allowed the latitude to gather more funds and complete the purchase. After the 15 days hold, Eleve Motors LLC reserves the right to release the item from HOLD if no further payments have been issued. The full balance must be paid within 30 days of the first deposit.
✅ Peripheral Equipment & Accessories
✔️ Components such as gauges, fuel tanks, remote controls, and wiring are typically covered for 1 year.
✔️ Replacement parts used in warranty repairs are covered for the remaining warranty period of the motor.
✅ Extended Warranty Options
Some brands provide optional extended warranties for an additional fee. Contact us for details on available warranty extension programs.

2. Registering Your Warranty
To ensure your product is eligible for warranty coverage, it must be registered with the manufacturer.
🔹 Warranty Registration Process:
✔️ Warranty registration is typically completed by the authorized dealer at the time of purchase.
✔️ An Owner’s Warranty Card or Certificate will be issued upon successful registration.
✔️ Some manufacturers allow online warranty registration – check their official website for details.

3. Obtaining Warranty Repairs
To claim warranty service, follow these steps:
📍 Locate an Authorized Dealer:

✔️ Warranty Card or Registration Number
✔️ Description of the Issue
📌 Warranty repairs are free of charge for covered defects in material or workmanship.
🚛 Transport Costs: Some warranties do not cover the cost of removing, transporting, or reinstalling the motor.
4. Customer Responsibilities
To maintain your warranty coverage, you must:

✔️ Use genuine or manufacturer-approved parts and lubricants.
✔️ Store the motor properly during the off-season to prevent damage.
✔️ Report any warranty-related defects within 10 days of discovery.
📌 Failure to maintain your outboard motor according to the manufacturer’s guidelines may void your warranty.
5. Warranty Exclusions
The following are not covered under warranty:
🚫 Misuse & Neglect:
- Racing or competition use
- Improper installation or modifications
- Failure to perform routine maintenance
🚫 Accidental Damage:
- Collisions, submersion, or contact with foreign objects
- Growth of marine organisms on motor surfaces
🚫 Normal Wear & Tear Parts:
- Spark plugs, fuel and oil filters, anodes
- Propellers, water pump impellers, rubber seals

6. Transfer of Warranty
Some manufacturers allow warranty transfers to a new owner if:
✔️ The motor is inspected by an authorized dealer.
✔️ A change of registration is submitted within 10 days of transfer.
